FBReaderJ is an e-book reader for the Android platform. It is a clone of the FBReader book reader written in Java instead of C++. FBReaderJ supports several e-book formats: oeb
, epub
, fb2
. The list of supported formats will be extended in future releases. Direct reading from zip
, tar
and gzip
archives is also supported.
You can configure FBReaderJ to read books with a pleasure. Colors, fonts, key bindings, etc. could be changed in Preferences Dialog
.
FBReader is distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL.
How To Start
FBReaderJ looks for epub
, oeb
and fb2
books in directories listed in the Book Path
option. First of all you need to set this path. Open the Preferences Dialog
(open menu and select Preferences...
item, or just press O
key), select the top item (Library
) and change the value of Book Path
option. This option contains the list of directories containing *.epub
, *.oebzip
, *.fb2
or archive files. Directories in the list are separated by colons.
Open library
(menu->Library->Open
or L
key), select a book from the list and read it.
Alternatively, you can manually add a file to the library. Start add to library dialog
(menu->Library->Add Book...
or A
key), select a file and edit the file information. Next time you can open this file using library
.
